Comfort Zone
Part 3
Comfort Zone: a place or situation where one feels safe or at ease and without stress.
Genesis 2:15 NIV
15 The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.
Exodus 20:8-11NIV
8 “Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns. 11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.
What do we do when stuck?
Honestly Investigate why am I stuck.
When do you make a change?
When you have done everything you can to honor God in your current situation.
Col. 3:23 NIV
23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters
When will know when it’s the right time?
When you have peace from God.
Philippians 4:6-7 NIV
6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
“Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.”
- Change is inevitable, am I going to spend my time fighting it or embracing it?
- What if the new circumstances lead to something even better than what I have
now? What would my life look like if I embraced these new circumstances? - What would I do if I knew I couldn’t fail?
Proverbs 16:3 NIV
Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.
