People Problems: Part 1

Conflict doesn’t have to lead to division. If we approach it with the right mindset and the right tools, it can lead to growth, understanding, reconciliation and transformation.

Matthew 18:15-17 ESV
15  “If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother.  16  But if he does not listen, take one or two others along with you, that every charge may be established by the evidence of two or three witnesses.  17  If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church. And if he refuses to listen even to the church, let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector.

AUDIENCE

James 3:17 NIV
17  But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.

ATTITUDE

James 1:5 NIV
If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.

ALTERNATIVES

Our goal in conflict should always be to restore relationships, not break them.
